The tour starts at the Hochfilzen train station. We took a train from Zell Am See to Hochfilzen, but you can make it on your bike, if you have enough time. In that case it would be better to make this tour in the opposite way.

From Hochfilzen we ride to the Schwarzache stream valley, the road goes through a tunnel through the rough rock. The tunnel is slightly lit, so you don't have to have a lamp on your bike. After the tunnel there is a small Schreiende Brunnen waterfall. In fact it is so small that I have missed it, and my brother in law Paul made a photo.

The final part of the uphill to the saddle at 1600, say about last 800 metres is mostly unrideable, therefore we had to push or even carry our bikes. But after reaching a saddle we take a comfortable gravel road.

From the Reichendlkopf peak there are magnificient views, especially to the north, where Leogander Steinberge range can be seen. There is only one but - the peak is crowded by cows and horses and their... hmm... leavings.

After reaching Reichendlkopf (1942 m) we take the direct path in to the valley. The last part of the tour goes along the Glemmtalradweg.

The biggest advantage of this track is that it goes through peaceful valley.
