Coomera Circuit, Lamington National Park. A very enjoyable hike with a lot of scenic water falls. It involved water crossings from time to time, but all were easy and straightforward.. was lucky enough to witness two blue crayfishes, which I assume were around due to the recent rain fall.

Thanks for sharing your hike... Great photos too. I'm looking to do this one in a couple of weeks. I'm looking at your times for this hike.... Can I ask if you ran this trail? Thanks.

Hi Jelbuilder, the GPS went haywire multiple times and I doubt the logged data is accurate. The total distance should have been 18.0 km ( /- 0.5 km), so my pace was around 4.5 km instead of 6.7km as the log says.
Regarding the trail conditions; the section up to the Coomera falls was in quite good condition, but the rest wasn’t really suitable for fast moving/running as there were a lot of fallen trees and debris on that part of the trail. That being said, the waterfalls were stunning. Hope you have a good time. Cheers :)

Thanks for the reply. I did Ships Stern the other week so I'm expecting similar track conditions by the sounds of it. Looking forward to it. Cheers.

One of many lovely walks in the Binna Burra area of Lamington. Beautiful waterfalls. 18 to 19 km seems about right. Sometimes a bit muddy and a bit slippery over the creek crossings but not difficult. A great forest walk. Not the walk if you’re looking for mountain/ valley views- do “Ships Stern” for that. Kept an eye out for crayfish but didn’t spot any.

I think I was a bit lucky with the crayfish as it was right after some decent rain falls :) Anyway, thanks for your feedback @smartyfishbone; glad you enjoyed Coomera too! Cheers.
