What a fantastic trail this is, a route well-signposted as Heide route (with red markings), starting from a big car park along Hoog Buurloseweg, just south of the A 1 motorway located between Kootwijk and Ugchelen, Gelderland.
Lots of different landscapes, up and downhill from time to time, sandy plains, forests and most of all, beautiful moors and viewpoints, with the Radio Kootwijk building as a strange beacon in the wide surroundings.
Even on a grey January day (with one short sunny spell) it was worthwhile and recommendable.
There is a second car park along Hoog Buurloseweg, here indicated on the map with a waypoint. For just a short walk around Radio Kootwijk there is a carpark with a fee.

Prachtige route. We hadden mooi zonnig weer in Januari. Het was genieten vh mooie landschap. Heerlijk gewandeld met onze hond!
