Lament for a beautiful mountain which will disappear soon! As the local hikers told we could have been the last hikers to cross the mountain. The authorities are ready to install 28 wind turbines on the mountain. From Krioneri village we start hiking initially on a dirtroad but sometime later on a discreet footpath which is closing by time. The path is abandoned by the local hikers because they do not want to lose energy on a lost case. The mountain is "finished". We do not head to the summit. We walkover the saddle of the mountain and we descend to a dirtroad leading to village Stratinista. The village was burnt by the German Natsis. Five elderly Greeks were burnt alive! Walking this mountain is a unique experience.
