Mount Korab, Albania

A reasonably challenging hike to the highest point in Albania / North Macedonia (the summit is on the border!) as approached from the village of Radomire in Albania. The trail to the summit from the village is self evident. There is very little opportunity for shade once you get past the tree line but water can be obtained from a spring about two thirds of the way up.

Warning - be very wary of the sheep dogs on the mountain. They are very protective and aggressive toward anyone that approaches the flock unless you can attract the attention of the shepherd before hand, which is why it is advisable to engage a local guide!
