közel Sint Andries, Gelderland (Nederland)
A varied walk through the floodplains along lots of waters, , either rivers or (extensive) ponds combined with a visit to an ancient fortress with a fantastic viewing tower over the busy river Waal. Several times in history this spot was seen as of strategic importance, hence the building of a fortification in the Spanish wars and later a new fortress in 1812 (later to be used by Germans in world war 2).
As this walk was done in autumn / November facing some muddy parts was inevitable, but manageable on the whole. Except for the part towards the end, this was really too much, too slippery to my taste. My advice would be to take the road back to the place where you set out, i.e. near waypoint W 72 where you cross the N322 road and take Heggeldijk towards Hogewaard.
