Itinerary description
The launch was from under the west end of the CR-92 bridge and out the Big Marco River to Coon Key Pass and around Coon Key. Beautiful sunrise as we passed Goodland, and as we went through the Pass, the dolphins put on a show along the east shore chasing their breakfast. Lots of raccoons on the Key and along the shore of the Pass. We lingered just watching and got some of the wildlife on film.
There was some powerboat traffic out of the Goodland Marina. One courteous boater slowed down as he passed us so as not to hit us with his wake (Nineteen others didn't - probably in a hurry). Shallow tide the whole way. If you look at how far we stayed away from Coon Key - that's how far the mud flat extended. Great morning,
