Hey Jurgen!
Am I correct that there are quite a few land transports on this route? If you start south from Bengtsfors you encounter 2 already before ending up in Laxsjon, and going north from that point has at least 2 points where you have to get off.
How did you experience this? Was this too much of land transports in a short time, or was it ok?
We are canoeing from Bengtsfors this summer and we're not sure of doing this loop vs going north and make a loop with Vastra Silen and Lelang only.

We did not do the complete loop, just because we were not sure if portaging was possible in the southern part (south from Bengtsfors and Skapafors). We started our trip at the beach of Dalslands Camping & Kanotcentral (59°02'09.8"N 12°11'22.9"E). When you go east and follow the north side you will see a small tunnel (59°02'26.1"N 12°10'50.2"E) which brings you to the Lelang Lake. Going north untill Gustavsfors we turned east towards Vastra Silen Lake. Then we took south and stopped our trip on a parking spot near Skapafors (59°01'25.5"N 12°16'36.6"E). There we hitchhiked back to the camping to pick up our cars (7km - 10 min drive) and if not ... a 7km walk wouldn't have killed us. We were in group so a part could stay with our canoes and 2 could go to pick up the cars. When you do it like this you don't need to do any land transports.
