Itinerary description
A friend asked us to check something out in this vicinity, so we figured we'd make a loop of the area. We've seen a lot of unusually high tides lately (in the last few months), but today's was a beauty. In my 40 years here, this is the highest I saw a normal high tide at this location. There was no wind or weather event to cause it- just a very high tide.
We made a couple of loops, did a little exploring, got a few pictures, scared a few mullets, and had a great morning. No boat traffic, but it's Wednesday after Labor Day.
