Itinerary description
A really nice walk with plenty to see and lots of good coffee shops and restaurants along the way.
Waypoints

Fremantle Roundhouse
At the top end of High Street we come across the first, and therefore, oldest building in Western Australia. Construction commenced in 1830 and opened ithe following year. Further information at - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Round_House_(Western_Australia)

Dual Gauge Freight Line
Almost at the bottom of the Fremantle Roundhouse is one of the main freight lines into the port of Fremantle. Note that the line is both Standard Gauge (4', 8.5") and the West Australian Narrow Gauge (3', 6"). Also the water spray system can be seen in the middle of the track which I believe is used to reduce wheel squeal on the curve as it is near residential properties.

Bella Sculpture
The Bella sculpture at Bathers Beach. Further information - https://freoview.wordpress.com/tag/bella-sculpture/

Fishing Boats
Inside fishing boat harbour we see a lineup of boats ready to catching in the Indian Ocean off Fremantle.

The 'Jetty' Fishermans Memorial (1)
"The Jetty" commemorates the local fisherman who started the fishing industry in Fremantle. The memorial incorporates 12 timber columns, the names of 608 fishermen who pioneered the industry in Fremantle, and two bronze sculptures. The names listed are taken from pre 1947 fishing licence records but all those who have participated - both men and women - are equally honoured for their pioneering spirit and the hardships endured. Western Australia`s early fishermen worked hard and often in dangerous conditions. They helped create an internationally respected modern industry and gave Fremantle much of its character and charm. There are two life-size bronze sculptures of fishermen, a map of the coastline showing traditional fishing grounds and a short history on the industry`s history. Twelve timber columns on the jetty carry the names of the 608 fishermen who pioneered the industry at Fremantle.

Another Fremantle Sculpture
I'me not sure of the significance of this sculpture but it looked kinda coo!

Fremantle Railway Station
The start and finish place for this short walk, the Fremantle Railway Station. Built in 1907 and in continuous use other than a short period from 1979 to 1983 when the stupid state government of the time closed the Fremantle railway line. An act that ultimately contributed to them losing the next state election. Further information - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fremantle_railway_station
