Itinerary description
A glorious sunny day with a temperature around 26c. I really do enjoy my Fremantle walks but will go somewhere different next time!
Waypoints

Interesting Artwork
I just love this art work. It says so much about modern life. When I catch the train to Fremantle I look down the carriage and 95+% of passengers are looking at their phones. I am sometimes included in that percentage unfortunately! I like the way there is a space where you can sit down with your phone and become part of the art work!

Fremantle Prison
High walls and lookout posts in the middle of quaint old houses. It must be a prison! Opened in 1885 and finally closed in 1991 the prison is heritage listed and is now a tourist attraction. More information at - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fremantle_Prison

Fremantle Trades Hall
Another one of my favorite old buildings in Fremantle is Trades Hall. Built in 1904 and used as a trade union headquarters through to 1962 the building is now used as a convention centre for an adjoining hotel. Further information - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fremantle_Trades_Hall

Early Lunch at Cicerello's
Cicerello's is a Fremantle institution! Opened in 1958 in my opinion they serve the best fish & chips anywhere in Fremantle, or indeed the Perth metropolitan area! Their prices are on the higher side but the quality and freshness of the fish is outstanding. The small fish & chips pictured was $16 which I think is OK. Bathers Beach Sculptures by the sea.
The sculpture's by the sea was still happening and this fun piece caught my eye. A closer inspection reveals the amount of time and effort that must have gone in to create this. Beautiful.
