Itinerary description
Get to know the beauty of the Groninger waterways by SUP. Paddle through Ae's Woudbloem nature reserve.
The water may be a bit shallow on the Slochter Ae, where it meanders right between the Skald lake and the Scharmer Ae. If you can't go that way, take the next waterway left, just before the bridge. There are a few parking spots and a jetty at the starting point.
I classified this as moderate, as there are some navigational challenges on the Slochter Ae. Still, a first-time SUPper with some canoeing experience should be able to handle those just fine. The wind also has free reign at some places along this route, so check the weather before you leave!
