Itinerary description
It is an easy but very scenic hiking trail in Khor Fakkan, Sharjah. You will climb two peaks - Al Shahs mountain and Al Rabi mountain (395m). It is doable for everyone since it is a well-laid trail with no loose rocks, bouldering, scrambling, etc. From the top, you can see the city of Khor Fakkan, the Gulf of Oman, and the secret beach.
Trail parts:
P-01 - P-02. Parking and the road to the trail next to Al Rabi tower.
P-03 - P-10. First and the main summit. There are two available shelters at P-06 and P-09
P-09 - P-13. Descent to one more shelter at P-13 and viewpoint with a scenic view of the secret beach. At P-13 you can take a shortcut and start descending back to the parking.
P-13 - P-14. A short summit to Al Rabi Mt. There is another viewpoint for the secret beach at P-15.
P-15 - P-20 - P-01. Decent back to the parking.
Any car can reach the starting point. There is a big long-term parking available at 25.339616, 56.358530.
Optionally there is small short-term parking next to the Al Rabi tower at 25.341496, 56.358235
Must-have gear:
1) Hiking shoes, but trainers are ok for this trail
2) 1.5 - 2 liters of water
3) Sun protective clothing since the whole trail does not have any shade

We were lucky that we met many donkeys passing with luggages on this trail.
The view on the top with UAE flag was very nice:D

We thought it is easy to summit but to be honest it was difficult. We were four friends and only two of us could make it at the top. Amazing scenery and views of the city
The path downwards (P17 back to Tower) looked wide and easy, but most parts are currently washed out and full of loose stones. So rather uncomfortable to walk.

Great trail, great description - thanks a lot. Dogs are formally not allowed but no one minded my dog. Maybe try taking the return route to ascend - that way you will first walk with mountain/city view and return with a more rewarding sea view. Either way its very good.
