Itinerary description
When you leave Mallnitz, stick to the left hand (northern) route, which I used on the way down! There is an alternative route up which is much further to the south with a wide curve. The route up that I used turned put to be a closed trail, which I only found out once I reached the top. This should have been obvious from the horribly overgrown path, the severe lack of markings and the numerous fallen trees that block the path. I only managed to get up safely because the environment was bone dry on the day, otherwise slipping on of the many tree logs would be a major risk.
Halfway up the path I wanted to turn back, but decided not to as taking the same route down would have been even more difficult, luckily it paid off as the path did clear a bit, eventually.... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
