Itinerary description
Stunning trail with great scenaries.
We hiked it in late February 2023, and found snow just few kms in (starting around 1400 mt altitude). The snow was frozen so no trouble walking on it.
Always a humbling to walk between thousand year old cedars. The trail climbs up to Lamartine and then descends all the way to Maaser El Chouf village.
From there, the way back to El Barouk becomes more flat - but less intuitive in some parts.
(Look out, our GPS went off somewhere mid-trail: the total length of the hike is about 15 km)
