Itinerary description
Little used trails in George Washington National Forest, along with a section of the Appalachian Trail. AT can be very icy in the winter - hikers have had to be rescued!

We hike this on Fridays fairly frequently. I do it know that it is still active. It is a moderate/strenuous hike, but a great one. The road to the trailhead can get pretty dicey after rain or snow. Lots of large potholes.
