Itinerary description
An ascent from Shatin towards Shatinavank monastery (we bypassed the monastery itself). After a steep ascent we found itself on an easy country road that leads toward a crossroads. We turned left towards Spitakavor monastery (visited it) and the Proshaberd/Boloraberd fortress (didn't climb). We passed by two farms and were welcomed very pleasantly by people who live in Gladzor during the winter and in these mountain farms during summer months. After leaving the farm near Proshaberd, we set to find our way down towards Yeghegnadzor along a valley. The beginning was a bit tricky, as there's not always a clear path along the stream. Actually there's more than one way, and you'll probably cross the stream several times. You should look out for snakes, but it's worth it. The last part is the most beautiful, with cliffs and waterfalls.

Nous sommes très tentés par cette randonnée et partons dans cette région dans deux semaines. .
Avez vous fait cette randonnée en une seule journée ou avez vous fait un bivouac ? Où avez vous pu trouver de l'eau potable ?

Bonjour Ségolène, nous l'avons fait en une journée, mais ce n'était pas facile en août. Il n'y a pas d'eau potable en route.

j'ai encore une question : est ce que la durée de 10H45 de la randonnée inclue les temps de pause ou est ce uniquement le temps de la marche?

Celà inclut des longues pauses. Nous avons commencé à matin et arrivé avant du coucher du soleil.
